Dossier de presse | no. 611-20
On the 21st of May, Index-Design launched the 8th edition of the Guide - 300 adresses design pour aménager et rénover. The event, presented by Plomberium and Baliscus, took place at the Science Center in front of more than 500 industry professionals, suppliers and interior designers. The event brought to light a selection of sanitary products and faucets in the form of a museum exposition via a marine theme. Even more so, a temporary installation was presented on the scene to add value to the new publication. This year, Index-Design at the same time underlines in an adjoining showroom the 9th Prix Sico Relève d’excellence, where the work was celebrated of more than twenty student designers.
The Spring Launch
Like with each springtime for the last 5 years, Index-Design underlines the launch of the publication by welcoming different actors to a showroom in Montreal or an improvised space. For this edition, the faucet products from Plomberium and Baliscus, are presented as a museum exposition in a perspective showroom of the Science Center of Montreal. The partners for this evening were the following: Stéphanie Leduc, Manuel Beaumann, Buenanotte, TKNL, MP Repro, Rho, L’Autre Atelier, Jura, Sico, Numerart, Osa Images, Lulu événement, Luxe and Élixirs. Previously at the launch, in a corridor leading to the perspective showroom, a full day of activities took place aiming to highlight the Prix Sico Relève d’excellence. On schedule: jury-voted competitions, mentoring and trophy ceremony. A fully charged day closed by the launch of the new publication.
Always a reference
The 8th edition of the Guide - 300 adresses design pour aménager et rénover consolidates the efforts of researching and documentation of the Index-Design team. Like with each year, an exhausting effort of research was handled throughout the year in order to compile an important listing of addresses in Quebec as well as new boutiques that opened their doors in the year prior to publication. In total, 300 addresses not to be overlooked of suppliers, manufacturers and retail stores were selected with care in a way to facilitate the work of designers, architects and hardened renovators. Classified in alphabetical order in 11 product categories, every business is presented with help from a short definition sorted by key words in relation to their products offered, the internet address, and, if available, the coordinates of their showroom. The research is simple, easy to use, and all the necessary information for your products' progression is included.
A tool to flip thru
The editorial section presents multiple ideas to use. Actually, the guide lends itself to the inspirational sources principally for the coming year. It is more than a simple address directory, the Guide – 300 adresses design is a work of complete references for renovating and installing.
The guide is presently available via the online boutique of Index-Design for the price of
22, 95$ and in libraries as of the 28th of May, 2015.
