On May 26 in Montreal and June 2 in Quebec City, Index-Design launched the 9th edition of its Guide – 300 Addresses to Design and Renovate. The Montreal event, presented in collaboration with Nepsu and Cosentino, was held at the Montreal Science Centre. In an adjacent hall, the 10th annual Sico New Talent Excellence Awards showcased the work of 20 graduating design students. The Quebec City launch, presented by Cabico, took place in the Cabico showroom. It is Index-Design’s first event in that city.
Still an essential resource
The 9th edition of the Guide – 300 Addresses to Design and Renovate, is a compilation of the Index-Design team’s research and documentation work. Like a cookbook, the guide is assembled with care and attention to detail, with the aim of guiding and inspiring the industry’s professionals. The reference tool lists 300 essential design resources in Quebec, including companies founded since the previous edition. In order to facilitate the work of designers, architects and renovation professionals, the listed companies are organized into 11 product categories. For simple, user-friendly searching, each entry is accompanied by a short description, a list of key words summarizing the company’s products, the website address and, if applicable, the showroom address.
Plenty of inspiration
In the guide’s editorial section, the team presents more than 40 pages of inspirations drawn from visits to the major international design shows. In addition, Index-Design profiles five up-and-coming firms: Aubry / Levesque, Dompierre, Jean-Pascal Gauthier, Atelier Gris and Robocut. More than just a directory, the Guide – 300 Addresses to Design and Renovate is a complete reference for anyone starting a design-related project.
The guide will be available from Index-Design’s webstore for $22.95, starting June 3.
Founded in 2006, Index-Design is celebrating its first ten years in business.
