Winners of MIPIM Architectural Review Future Projects Awards 2014 announced

Now in their 12th year, the MIPIM Architectural Review Future Project Awards are the only competition focusing exclusively on future projects. They celebrate excellence in unbuilt or incomplete projects spanning across twelve categories. With a strong focus on creativity, the awards are a chance to showcase projects that are examples of fine architecture, but have also responded to the client’s development brief, and considered the way in which they will impact and contribute to the community around them.
The Overall Winner prize in the MIPIM Architectural Review Future Project Awards will be revealed on 12 March 2014 during a special awards ceremony and gala dinner, where all winning and highly commended projects will be recognised.

Big Urban Projects
Paojiang Lake in Shaoxing, China by Paul Lukez Architecture with CRJA Landscape Architects and Green Design Union for Shaoxing Planning Bureau (on drawing board).
Cultural Regeneration
Place Lalla Yeddouna in Fez, Morocco by UK based mossessian & partners / Yassir Khalil Studio for The Government of The Kingdom of Morocco (under construction).
Mixed Use
Vanke Jiugong in Beijing, China by SPARK for Vanke Group (under construction).
Offices
Flick Gocke Schaumburg campus in Dusseldorf, Germany by Eller + Eller Architekten for FGS Flick Gocke Schaumburg (on drawing board).
Old & New
Project to transform Social Houses into Sociable Homes in S.Polo, Brescia, Italy by Luca Peralta Studio for Ordine ingegneri Provincia di Brescia (on drawing board).
Regeneration & Masterplanning
Eiland Veur Lent in Nijmegen, Netherlands by UK based Baca Architects for GEM Waalsprong Beheer BV (under construction).
Residential
Sky Courts in Mumbai, India by Sanjay Puri for Tanash Environments (on drawing board).
Retail & Leisure
Sultangazi Market Hall & Car Park in Istanbul, Turkey by Suyabatmaz Demirel Architects for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (on drawing board).
Sport & Stadiums
Alfriston Pool in Beaconsfield, United Kingdom by Duggan Morris Architects for Alfriston School (under construction).
Tall Buildings
One Wood Wharf, London Docklands by Herzog and de Meuron for Canary Wharf Group (on drawing board).
Sustainability
Next Generation Container Port by Osamu Morishita Architect & Associates (on drawing board). Project was entered in the Big Urban Projects category.
This year’s international jury was chaired by Paul Finch, Editorial Director, The Architectural Review & The Architects’ Journal, and included Nabil Gholam, Principal, Nabil Gholam Architects; Dr Sutherland Lyall, Author and critic, former Buildings Editor of the Architects’ Journal; Lee Polisano, President, PLP Architecture; Christina Seilern, Principal, Studio Seilern Architects; Peter Stewart, Architect and planning consultant, Principal, Peter Stewart Consultancy; and Roger Zogolovitch, Architect and client, chairman of Solidspace.
We are relocating our London offices in March 2014. Our new address will be 200 Aldersgate, Aldersgate Street, London, EC1A 4HD
