Dossier de presse | no. 2001-06
Communiqué seulement en anglais
This furniture collection was conceived as a constructive exploration. Each piece questions the logics of support and span in wood, in direct dialogue with the history of major modern structures. Inspired by architectures of large spans, the cantilever, the “clear span”, the megastructure, the structural grid, the furniture line translates these figures into a domestic scale, reinventing them in a subtle play between balance and tension.
Each piece becomes a staging of gravity, a reflection on the art of building. More than a utilitarian object, it is conceived as an architectural model: a tangible reduction of a possible project, a miniature fragment of a world to come.
Thus, these pieces are not isolated objects, but rather miniature architectural essays. In their wooden materiality, they condense a constructive mindset, a structural rigor, and open the way to the imagination of future buildings.

The agency also took part in several exhibitions and biennials. Models of some of their designs have been included in museum collections, such the Center Pompidou in Paris and the Guggenheim Museum in New York. Triptyque has received numerous international awards and their work has been published in many countries.
About Breton
With nearly six decades of history, Breton is guided by three pillars: Family, Sustainability, and Original Brazilian Design. Breton is a B Corporation, a certification granted to companies that balance financial performance with positive social impact, meeting rigorous criteria for social, environmental, and governance performance, and making formal commitments to transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain.
This commitment is put into practice through EcoBreton, a program that organizes and guides the brand’s sustainable initiatives across its entire operation. Among these actions are planting trees in the Atlantic Forest for every project undertaken, using certified raw materials and renewable sources, as well as structured recycling practices, reverse logistics, and production efficiency, with a focus on reducing environmental impacts and advancing the circular economy.
The only company in the sector to be carbon negative, according to the GHG Protocol, Breton offsets more carbon than it emits, reinforcing its commitment to continuous positive impact. With more than 20 stores in Brazil, it maintains an integrated and consistent operation across all regions.
Its portfolio features original Brazilian furniture, ranging from upholstered pieces to tables, chairs, and items for indoor and outdoor spaces, offering a high level of customization through a process akin to bespoke furniture craftsmanship.
