Swedish designer Ingrid Külper at Mattahari was awarded Silver in Como Italy by A’Design Award and Competition 2018 in the category furniture and decorative items for her two designs Edge area rug and Morpheus convertible rug tile. 

Details about Edge

The lines in this hand-tufted rugs are stitched with a thread made of banana fiber. Stitching gives the rug another dimension and adds more depth to the design. The designer did choose to use the square and the triangle in combination to find the desired form. For the aqua-coloured rug 100% bamboo fiber is used. The mustard-coloured rug is tufted with NZ wool and with some added bamboo fiber for extra shine and softness. Details about Morpheus

The hand-tufted rug tiles are in natural fibers, wool and bamboo fiber. The convertible rug tiles will form different patterns depending on how they are placed next to each other by the end user. Each tile has an anti-slip surface which will keep each tile perfectly in place without using any further glue. Convenient especially when larger areas are to be covered as the transportation is facilitated due to that the rug tiles are delivered in stacks and can easily be replaced for cleaning and to change the size if desired. Suitable for public settings and private homes.
