Singapour, Singapour, 30-05-2013 - INSIDE: World Festival of Interiors, organised by i2i Events Group will take place at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore for three days in October 2013. INSIDE provides the international design and interior architecture community with a vibrant platform for creative thought, mutual inspiration, and professional recognition. With three days of live judging by renowned figures including: Odile Decq, ODBC; Nigel Coates, Nigel Coates Studio; Lyndon Neri, Neri & Hu; Eero Koivisto, Claesson Koivisto Rune; Pernilla Ohrstedt, Pernilla Ohrstedt Studio; Linda Morey Smith, MoreySmith; Nicholas Stringer, Shed Design; Shawn Sullivan, Rockwell Group and Rob Wagemans, Concrete; it is one of the most significant opportunities for designers to promote their work globally in the 2013 calendar.

The festival is a unique fixture on the interior design calendar, celebrating today’s inspired and most accomplished interiors of the last 12 months, from across the globe. With thirteen diverse categories designers, from industry leaders to up-and-coming practices, can be considered on a truly international level. The categories include Bars & Restaurants / Civic / Creative Re-use / Culture / Digital / Display / Education / Health / Hotels / Offices / Residential / Retail / Transport. The competition will be judged by more than twenty distinguished designers and editors from around the world and finalists will present their project in person to the judging panel during the festival. The festival also boasts an exhibition of all entries and an in-depth talks programme featuring leading international speakers.

WORLD INTERIOR OF THE YEAR AWARD 2013: Friday, 4 October 2013

On the final day of the festival the 13 category winners will be put forward for the esteemed World Interior of the Year Award 2013. Chaired by internationally renowned designer and RCA Professor Emeritus, Nigel Coates, this award is considered the grand prix of interior awards. One category winner will win this illustrious award that will be announced at an evening awards ceremony on Friday, 4 October. Judges confirmed for World Interior of the Year Award 2013 (to date) are: Odile Decq, ODBC; Lyndon Neri, Neri & Hu and Rob Wagemans, Concrete.

All of INSIDE’s category winners will be invited to be a member of INSIDE’s international jury in 2014 and feature in filmed interviews hosted by Dezeen, INSIDE’s digital partner, positioning successful practices further at the centre of global design excellence on the international design scene.

INSIDE & WORLD ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL

This year’s INSIDE festival will be hosted in Singapore alongside its sister event, World Architecture Festival. Under direction of Programme Director, Paul Finch, WAF continues to be the world's largest festival and live awards for the global architecture community.
