With only days until the Interior Design Show takes over Toronto’s Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the design-obsessed team at IDS has curated 10 reasons not to miss Canada’s design event of the year.

1) Opening Night Party Presented By Scavolini And The Globe And Mail

On January 22 from 7-11:00 p.m. join more than 5,500 of the most influential designers and the industry's most savvy for the IDS15 Opening Night Party - Canada’s biggest design party. Don’t miss the chance to rub shoulders with international stars. 2) Carbonless by rhed design
Leading designer Del Terrelonge of the multi-disciplinary design firm, rhed will present the second IDS15 feature exhibit that examines the future of living through transformable design with a mobile architecture concept. Carbonless illustrates the ability to live off the grid with a mobile style modern camper incorporating all of the comforts found in modern society, while remaining environmentally

Don’t forget to visit IDS15’s other feature exhibit: CUBITAT by Urban Capital and Nichetto Studio, an innovative example of "plug and play" architecture.

3) Studio North & Prototype Presented by designboom
Discover the design talent of the Great White North! Always a fan-favouite, Studio North & Prototype
highlights emerging Canadian designers and independent studios. A curated celebration of local made products don’t miss ground-breaking design, including Talia Silva’s organic-yet-otherworldly pendants and Renee Struthers’s simplistic concreate creations. #buylocal

4) designboom mart
Back by popular demand, designboom mart, the world’s first ever design bazaar, is returning to IDS15
featuring designers from across the world including: Joe Jin, Kumvana Gomani, Mier Luo, Little Factory, Khaled Mays, Ritoon Design and Lola’s Vanity. Attendees will have the chance to
purchase unique designs from jewellery and accessories to home accents and small furnishings, all at an affordable price directly on the show floor.

American design stars who produce their work in small batches with limited distribution. View the
inimitable makings of Heidi Earnshaw, Peter Coolican, 1925Workbench and Miles & May, ”makers” who are at the helm of the creative process, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.

7) Modern Kid
Inspired spaces create inspired minds. Go beyond the ABCs and 123s with Modern Kid and explore how
design impacts creative thinking and discovery-based learning through play. Featuring the best in
contemporary design for children, Modern Kid presents the works of Monte Design, Gallery Child and others for the ultimate in design-inspired children’s nurseries, playrooms and rec rooms.

8) Speakers & Seminars
Speakers: Keep your eyes on the Caesarstone Stage during AZURE Trade Talks, Globe Style Saturday
and House and Home Sunday for IDS15’s renowned caliber of international guest speakers including:
