ASKO x Maxim Kashin Architects
Maxim Kashin Architects
The Scandinavian manufacturer of premium household appliances, ASKO, has released a limited edition home laundry room, decorated with the original suprematist pattern of the architect Maxim Kashin.
The idea of Suprematism is based on the superiority of pure geometry and color over established ideas about form and space. Square and elementary forms: circle, line, cross - the basis of Suprematist compositions. A new interpretation of the foundations of the ideology of Suprematism - the interweaving of linear figures and the creation of an endless pattern - a Suprematist pattern. The author's pattern, developed by Maxim Kashin, is a modern interpretation of the ideology of the Russian avant-garde of the early 20th century - an homage to the Suprematism of Kazimir Malevich. Combining into an endless geometric pattern, simple geometric figures immerse a person in a non-objective world formed by pure linear geometry, which opens up a new Suprematist space. Geometric pattern - identifies infinity in a plane, sets dynamics and shows the influence of line on the perception of simple geometric shapes and volumes.
Maxim Kashin is a member of the Union of Architects of Russia, a graduate of the Moscow Architectural Institute, and a recipient of a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture. His work develops the ideology of the Russian avant-garde and rethinks the work of Suprematism in search of new forms and the release of ideology into volume. The realized interiors in the bureau of Maxim Kashin reflect the concept of a new Suprematist space. It is the winner of international competitions, in particular the A'Design Award 2022 (Italy), German Design Award 2022 (Germany), Archilovers Best Project 2022 (England), Architecture Masterprize 2020 (United States of America), DNA Awards 2019 (France), Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2019 (England), Russian Project 2018, 2019, 2020 (Russia).
