Already having made its mark amongst parents looking for a solution to their children’s teething pain, the revolutionary new teether brand, Matchstick Monkey continues to showcase its talents by scooping a Silver European Product Design award.
The fifth award the brand has won since its launch just last year, the European Product Design Award celebrates the best in product design, with each submitted design evaluated by an esteemed jury based on form, function and innovation, recognising worldwide those creations designed to solve a problem, make life easier or simply spread joy.

After my daughter suffering terribly with teething as a baby, Matchstick Monkey was born out of a real personal need. Making its design as ergonomically effective as possible, while appealing to parents and babies alike was of upmost importance through the design process.“
About Matchstick Monkey
Designed by ‘mumpreneur’ Katie when her daughter was born in 2015 Matchstick Monkey is a fun, flexible baby teething applicator which provides an ideal solution to the problems encountered when babies are teething.
This fun soft, flexible textured teething toy has bumps on the back of the head to help keep recommended gels or granules in place whilst massaging those back gums at the same time.
Designed with safety in mind, the product’s wide monkey arms provide an easy to grasp surface for infants to hold on to, as well as allowing parents to apply recommended teething gels or granules right to the source of the pain, soothing sore gums.
The wide arms coupled with the short neck and legs stop children from choking and provide a safe toy which can also help improve their motor neurone skills. It can also be used as a pre training toothbrush to teach early oral hygiene.
Matchstick Monkey is BPA free, made from FDA approved silicone compliant with government standards, dishwasher safe and freezer friendly. Suitable from 3 months to 3 years.
