Jongform launches Daisy. Daisy is inspired by crystalline shapes and their strong expression. The strong angles and lines of the compact seat give it a pure and dynamic look that seems to forward into the room the chair is placed in. The seating area of the chair stands out of the monoblock body of the seat and invites the user to sit down and being embraced by the back and armrest. The upholstered chair is meant for contract and home use and its launch will be during the Grandopening of Jongforms new Showroom in April 2011.
About the designer
Matthias Demacker was born in southern Germany in 1970. He studied Design in Krefeld, while he worked with a number of different architects’ studios on trade fair exhibition stands. After graduating, he moved to Munich, worked for a number of interior design studios and in 2003 he set up his own. He has received many acknowledgements at international level; amongst these, the Interior Innovation Award, the Nomination for the German Designpreis both in 2005, the red dot 2007 and the good design award 2010. His vision on design: ‘make it special, but keep it simple'.
Since 1984 Jongform has been working with quality every day. The result is very clear in its products: form, functions, durability, timelessness, finishing and used materials. Attention for quality means also attention for people and environment. The investments in its products are sustainable investments. Jongform works with a new generation of creative designers who through auto-reference have become famous in their own created biotope. Jongform is searching for creative people who are able to give an intrinsic surplus to its products,… people who think unconditioned and who design in an unlimited biotope, i.e. our and your world.
