Les Ensembliers, a Montreal-based company combining the services of a design agency, an architectural firm and a construction firm, is proud to announce that founding partner, Richard Ouellette, will be featured as a panel guest at the House & Home Sunday “Hot List” seminar as part of the 18th annual Toronto Interior Design Show (IDS).
The seminar, to be held on January 24th at 3:00 PM, will feature three trending Canadian designers, including Richard Ouellette, James Davie and Samantha Farjo, who will share their insights with consumers and industry professionals on the Caesarstone Stage.
“It’s an honour to be named to the panel and to be asked to address the design world during such a prestigious event,” says Ouellette. “The Toronto IDS is one of Canada’s premiere design events and the Hot List seminar provides an excellent opportunity to discuss trends and to interact with designers from all over the world.”
Global reach
‘Building meaning into beauty’, the innovative approach of Richard Ouellette and partner Maxime Vandal has positioned Les Ensembliers on the radar of the international design world. Through its vertical connection between architecture, design, construction and décor, Les Ensembliers has become a prominent player in Canada’s high-end residential contracting industry, while also enjoying unique access to markets in Europe and the United States.
“Every project is unique in its approach and vision,” explains Ouellette, who will bring more than 20 years of experience in fashion, styling and interior design to the Hot List panel. “We begin with our client’s vision and then we find ways to bring their dreams to life by taking their vision even further.”
Les Ensembliers employs a team of approximately 35 people, including architects, designers, technologists, estimators, project managers, labourers, craftsmen and accountants. The firm has completed 125 projects since 2010 in Canada, Europe and the United States and posts annual revenues of over $20 million. The firm recently expanded its Canadian operations with the opening of a new office in Toronto’s Yorkville district, providing Les Ensembliers with a major new metropolitan market in which to offer its design and décor services.
Les Ensembliers: Vision, in perpetual motion
When it comes to marrying the essential elements of historic and contemporary design, Les Ensembliers has earned a global reputation for their trademark ability to transform contrasting concepts into harmonious living spaces. The firm has been recognized through numerous awards and design accolades, including the 2010 Emeritus Heritage Award from the Montréal Architectural Heritage Campaign.
Les Ensembliers has been featured in 35 national and international magazines and has received numerous design awards and accolades. The firm was recently selected as one of the first curators of CuratedKravet, a new comprehensive online shopping destination delivering exclusive creations from the global design market. Les Ensembliers was also featured as one of only 96 global design firms in the prestigious Andrew Martin Interior Design Review 2015, dubbed by the Sunday Times as “the Oscars for the interior design world”.
