Azure announces the finalists of the fifth annual AZ Awards

From an impressive 720 submissions arriving from
43 countries, 66 finalists have been selected in the fifth annual AZ Awards – an international competition honouring excellence in design and architecture
The high-calibre international jury has conferred and the finalists have been selected. The public is now invited to cast their vote for the People’s Choice. All 66 finalists are available for online viewing and voters are selecting their favourites in each of the 18 categories. The winners, including the People’s Choice, will be revealed on June 19, in Toronto, Canada.
The winning designs will be featured in AZURE Magazine’s Annual Awards Issue, on newsstands in June. This issue will be packed with the best in furniture, lighting, architecture, interiors and landscapes from around the world. Also included are visionary concepts, striking temporary spaces and extraordinary student work.
Toronto’s historic Evergreen Brick Works is the venue for the 2015 AZ Awards Gala Celebration. On June 19, top players in Canada’s architectural and design community will rub shoulders with other finalists from across the globe at a reception and awards ceremony.
The 2015 AZ Awards jury includes: architect Winka Dubbeldam of Archi-Tectonics (New York, USA), architect Brendan MacFarlane of Jakob + MacFarlane (Paris, France), designer Anwar Mekhayech of the Design Agency (Toronto, Canada), landscape architect Janet Rosenberg of Janet Rosenberg & Studio (Toronto, Canada), and designer Philippe Malouin (London, UK).
