For the “plaisir des yeux” and the delight of discovering uniquely decorated spaces, the design and decoration media welcome 1282 RUE DE LA MAISON, a new web magazine produced by the wonderfully creative Rollande Vachon, Moutarde Décor/Design founder and owner. Available in both French and English, the magazine is accessible on the Internet and also offers an application (Android, iPad) that can be downloaded at no cost.

This quarterly magazine invites you to escape into the world of design, decoration and architecture. Inside, you will find a feature on the metamorphosis of a bathroom that follows the presentation of a spectacular interior. Further along, well-known personalities express the feelings and choices that are part of their lives. Unique up-and-coming talents present their creations. The kitchen section unveils culinary mysteries from the Far Breton to the Salad Niçoise. And in particular, the upcoming fall and winter issues are an absolute must—the latest trends from the Paris and New York design shows will be featured.

The pre-launch issue features the graceful Karine Vanasse. The actress indulged us and shared her vision of, and relationship with film decors, light and space. The first issue reveals a corner of the young singer-songwriter Florence K’s world that expresses her considerable generosity. 

"The 1282 brings together who and what inspires me," Rollande told us. "For years, I have been attending international shows, reading the specialized media, and exchanging with experts from all the design and construction trades. The desire to share my knowledge and experience took shape in this magazine. I want to inspire people to want to create their dream decors and to want to return home to enjoy them.” 

1282 RUE DE LA MAISON combines Rollande Vachon’s two passions, design and magazines, in a contemporary version of print media: the webzine.

About Rollande Vachon:

Long active in the world of Montreal fashion as a stylist and writer, Vachon decided to devote herself to interior design in the early 90s. She founded Moutarde Décor, a lovely decoration boutique, as well as Moutarde Design, a design firm known for its warm and timeless interiors. Passionate about decoration with a sober and refined style, Vachon loves houses. She regularly travels to Europe to return with furniture, lighting fixtures, textiles and decorative accessories.
