Members of the public will also have a chance to talk to the architects one on one in the entrance hall of the library which will also house the brand new exhibition
Parcours littéraire d’une architecture gagnante (Literary Journey of a Winning Architecture) featuring impressive photos, plans and drawings of winning projects, accompanied by miniature mock-ups that are sure to captivate little ones. A companion book including describing texts is available for consultation throughout the exhibition and can also be purchased in bookstores.
The exhibition and book are showcasing 24 outstanding architectural achievements. This sample, brimming with vitality, is a collection of veritable architectural gems of every imaginable kind: from amazing shapes for vacation homes and weekend getaways and imaginatively designed residential and commercial interior layouts to rebuilt and restored theatres and inventive industrial buildings. Last but not least, at the end of the Literary Journey, architecture and literature come together as the architects reveal the names of the authors and literary works — presented in glass cases displays — that have inspired them and fuelled their creative spirit. The exhibition runs from April 12 to August 28 (address: 475 De Maisonneuve Blvd East, Montreal).
