About Fujiki Studio
Fujiki Studio of Kogakuin University are renowned for works including "Aqua-scape", "Artificial Topography", and "Porous Manifold as a Japanese Tearoom". Fujiki Studio uses the keyword "nature" to explore ways of architecture appropriate for the 21st century, known as the century of the environment, through both research and practice, including:
1) Architecture and urban design that is conscious of nature and the environment (Nature-oriented Architecture)
2) Computational design, which uses computers to create new forms
3) Self-built prototypes of plastic architecture
etc.
This cutting-edge approach has produced brilliant results for both the Studio and its students, including winning the Grand Prix of the International Awards, and first place in Japan's Graduation Diploma Design competition.
