Lighting studio Lambert & Fils proudly unveils the Ipoli collection, born from a spirited collaboration between founder Samuel Lambert and his stepson, Darius Laprise. Centered on the movement of playful pivoting heads atop a slender base, Ipoli draws inspiration from the design tradition of utilitarian, streamlined task lamps and office lighting, while enfolding Lambert & Fils' unique twist — both poetic and sturdy.

Conceived through an organic process of improvisation sessions between Samuel and Darius, a young design graduate who has worked for Lambert & Fils for several years, Ipoli embodies an ethos of simplicity and the creative challenge of circularity and utilizing materials at hand in the studio.

“It all started with the idea of designing a whole collection from existing pieces in the workshop rather than producing more material,” explains Samuel Lambert.

“We wanted to create a simple and open topology, giving users the freedom to imagine the rest of the collection themselves,” explains Darius Laprise.

Versatility and movement lie at the heart of Ipoli’s design philosophy. By gently pivoting a single rounded head or a set of multiples on their axis, one can tailor the collection to fit an array of moods and functions. Whether employed as a task light, ambient accent, or focal point, each piece will delight any space.

The Ipoli collection features eleven models, including table lamps, floor lamps, pendants, and wall sconces. Its four distinct finishes —poppy red, beige, black, and textured aluminum— allow Ipoli to blend effortlessly into minimalist spaces, as well as classic and casual interiors. To further enhance the user’s relationship with the object, all models are also equipped with touch dimmers.

Combining thoughtful design with a resolutely poetic approach, the Ipoli collection is an ode to movement and light, created by an inspired creative duo.

“Ipoli is a deeply personal collection for me, created in an atmosphere of intimacy and designed to nurture intimacy,” sums up Samuel Lambert.
