Atelier SUN has recently completed the interior of a 500 square foot eye clinic and eyewear boutique in Toronto. Within the 160 square feet of retail space, the firm aimed to capture the essence of an old-world watchmaker’s shop – balancing warmth and precision within their signature minimalist design.

The vaulted ceiling, paired with indirect lighting and glossy ivory paint, makes the space expand with softness, as though wrapped with a thick piece of parchment.

Drawing from the inspiration of a watchmaker, each piece of millwork fits neatly into place, like pieces of a puzzle. Each display carries the same rounded edge, with creamy interiors to complement the dark walnut wood. The central table is an ivory pedestal, creating a soft, elegant backdrop for display.

Atelier Sun’s design invites customers into an environment where the delicacy of eyewear craftsmanship is mirrored through the thoughtful detailing of the space itself.
