For the First Time in Québec: a Competition Demonstrating the Economic Benefits of Design, Architecture and Urban Planning

Montreal, Canada, 2012-10-08 - Members of the media are invited to the first edition of Facteur D (a name that eludes to the extra X factor design adds to projects). The event will take place on October 16th, 2012, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal (Rooms 510 to 513). Both the design professional and the client will present 47 exemplary Québec design, architecture and urban planning projects, demonstrating the economical and social benefits of design, before an international jury.

Of these projects, 7 will win the Facteur D Award in their category: architecture, landscape architecture, graphic design, industrial design, interior design, planning / urban design and multidisciplinary design. Awards will be announced during the evening ceremony, the Facteur D Soirée.

3 high-level conferences by internationally known architects, designers and planners will also be held during course of the day.
