An A for dynamic sitting: Cléo is a table-and-chair ensemble by Julian Ribler and represents a new type of school furniture for alternative learning spaces. Thanks to its imaginative, playful and dynamic design, Cléo challenges traditional school furniture typologies that generally force children to adopt an upright, static position.

Stopping the rot: the Leppänen dining table by Riku Toivonen celebrates the imperfections of old birch, the grain of which is emphasised when the rotting process sets in. The designer created tables with unique patterns out of blocks of discarded lumber that are generally only used to secure goods during transport.
