EVOQ is pleased to announce the establishment of a comprehensive landscape architecture and urban design department with the integration of ARCADIA STUDIO and Groupe Espace Vie. Isabelle Giasson joins EVOQ as an Associate and Marie-France Turgeon as a Team Leader.
The Landscape Architecture Team Leaders
Isabelle Giasson has an extensive portfolio of award-winning projects in landscape design, urban revitalization, and master planning. As president of the Association des architectes paysagistes du Québec (AAPQ) since 2015, she has been a tireless advocate for her profession and peers. In 2020, Isabelle was inducted into the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects’ (CSLA) College of Fellows in two categories: for the exemplary quality of her works in landscape architecture and for her direct service to the Society.
Marie-France Turgeon has inspired colleagues through her innovative and contextual solutions to environmental challenges for more than twenty years. She has a great deal of experience in delivering projects for municipalities and for First Nations, notably working with the Huron-Wendat First Nation of Wendake. Marie-France also specializes in playground design and is a certified Canadian playground inspector.
Multidisciplinarity
EVOQ’s strength lies in its broad spectrum of expertise and a collaborative network of offices in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Iqaluit. EVOQ can count on an ample talent pool of over 130 professionals with specializations in heritage conservation, planning, Inuit and First Nations work, contemporary residential and institutional design.
"We are delighted to have welcomed these landscape architecture and urban design firms into EVOQ. Together, we will broaden the range of services that we offer our clients”, says Alain Fournier, managing partner of EVOQ Architecture.
About EVOQ Architecture
EVOQ Architecture is an award-winning architectural firm specializing in heritage conservation and Inuit and First Nations architecture, with additional expertise in residential and commercial projects, heritage planning as well as landscape architecture and urban design. In 2017, EVOQ further broadened the firm’s expertise in contemporary, cultural, and institutional architecture with the integration of the team from Dan Hanganu architects. Recognized for quality interventions and site-sensitive design solutions, the firm’s name embraces the conviction of its founders that architecture should be an expression of meaning.
As contextual architects, EVOQ approaches each project from a broad perspective, incorporating history, culture, and location into every design process, while infusing creativity and nuance in order to create a link between past, present, and future.
