It’s time to turn your L A M P on! The ‘Lighting Architecture Movement Project’ (L A M P) is preparing for its third annual international lighting design competition and is sending out a call for entries to designers worldwide to participate. The design event will be held this November in Vancouver, Canada, and the deadline for entries is July 27, 2015. If you think you have a ‘bright’ idea, be sure to check out the competition details on www.welovelamp.ca
L A M P is offering participants the opportunity to exercise their talents for the chance to be part of a growing must-see exhibition that connects the local community with dynamic design. The competition challenges designers to approach their lamps with the guidance of a singular word. This year's theme is Crystallize.
L A M P has announced that there will be three categories open for submissions, including student, emerging, and established designers. After reviewing all submissions, the esteemed panel of judges will make their decisions based on a set evaluation ranging from aesthetics, marketability, innovation, and unique interpretation of this year’s theme word.
L A M P is proud to announce the confirmed panelist for 2015, which include: Nancy Bendtsen (Inform
Interiors), Omer Arbel (Bocci Design), John Patkau (Patkau Architects), Tom Dixon, Michael
Anastassiades, Falken Reynolds, and the team from ANDLIGHT: Lukas Peet, Caine Heintzman and Matt Davis.
