Architecture MasterPrize Names Its 2026 Winners
Farmani Group
Snøhetta's Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library takes the top honor; entries from 92 countries
The Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) today announces the winners of its 2026 edition. Thousands of projects, firms and products were entered from 92 countries, up from 72 in 2025, across the Architectural Design, Firm of the Year, Architectural Products and Architectural Photography programs.
Now in its eleventh edition, the AMP recognizes design excellence in architecture, interior design and landscape architecture across nearly fifty categories, judged by an international jury of practicing architects, designers, critics and academics. Entries are judged on design excellence, originality, function and sustainability, and the highest-ranked work in each category receives the Best of Best distinction.
From that group, the jury selects the year's top titles and the Firm of the Year awards.
The 2026 titles
-
Architectural Design of the Year:
The top honor goes to Snøhetta for the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota.
Sited along a bluff edge in the Badlands, the building slopes to meet the land beneath a walkable, planted roof that opens toward Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Architects, landscape architects and ecologists shaped the site and the building as a single work. -
Interior Design of the Year:
OAKV by Atelier Carle (Alain Carle), Canada
Montreal practice Atelier Carle challenges traditional medical clinic design with OAKV. One skylight, one tall hall and a lot of walnut turn a dark Oakville office unit into the year’s most composed interior. -
Landscape Design of the Year:
Benjakitti Forest Park by Arsomsilp Community and Environmental Architect with Turenscape, Thailand.
A former tobacco factory site in central Bangkok, now an ecological park with wetlands that store monsoon rain, a new urban forest and skywalks that open the whole site to the public -
Sustainable Design of the Year:
Expansion Headquarter Windkraft Simonsfeld AG by Juri Troy ZT GmbH, Austria.
A timber-framed office extension with a rammed-clay core for a wind-energy company. -
Architectural Firm of the Year:
KPF (Kohn Pedersen Fox), United States -
Interior Design Firm of the Year:
PMT Partners, China -
Landscape and Urban Design Firm of the Year:
PLACE, United States

“This year’s top awards went to a presidential library that disappears into its landscape, a timber office for a wind-energy company and a park that cleans Bangkok’s water. They are very different buildings with one thing in common: each gives something back to the place it stands in. That entries now arrive from more than eighty countries tells us the program has become a genuine point of reference for practices of every size,” said David Teravagimov, Managing Director of the Architecture MasterPrize.
Architectural Photography
In the Architectural Photography Awards, Derry Ainsworth is named Exterior Architectural Photographer of the Year for Hong Kong Modern Mosaics, a series of tightly framed façades that turn the city’s towers into patterns. Tzu Chin Yu of TCY Studio, Taiwan, is Interior Architectural Photographer of the Year for his study of Coelacanth K&H Architects’ Kanazawa Umimirai Library.
