London Mansion Apartment
NENMAR
A calm and timeless London home.
Set on the ground floor of a residential building overlooking Battersea Park, this London apartment has been entirely reimagined by NENMAR through a comprehensive interior renovation focused on improving spatial flow, enhancing natural light, and creating a calm and sophisticated home.
The design is characterised by a refined palette of carefully selected materials, resulting in an environment that is tranquil, understated, and timeless. Every detail, from the built-in joinery and lighting to the soft furnishings, has been custom-designed and tailor-made to suit both the space and the lifestyle of its inhabitants.
Beginning at the entrance, the new layout introduces a contemporary interpretation of wall mouldings, defined by vertical and horizontal natural oak guides. These elements frame door openings and integrate seamlessly with the bespoke joinery, establishing an architectural language that extends throughout the residence.
To interrupt this rhythm, a striking brushed stainless-steel wall marks the end of the main corridor. Concealed within it, a hidden door leads to a guest powder room clad entirely in red travertine, creating a surprising contrast within the otherwise restrained material palette.
The living area is conceived as a calm and simple space centred around a monolithic bespoke fireplace carved from a single block of Titanium travertine. This same material extends into the dining and kitchen area through a contemporary archway, creating a seamless continuation between spaces and reinforcing the continuity of the built-in elements.
The private quarters comprise three bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. These spaces are defined by clay plaster walls and cement flooring, complemented by bespoke white travertine details that add warmth and texture while maintaining the project's cohesive material identity.
The aim of the project was to create a timeless and sophisticated interior where simplicity, craftsmanship, and materiality come together to support contemporary living. The result is a home that balances elegance with functionality, offering a serene backdrop to everyday life in the heart of London.
